I was an extra for a scene in this movie.  Russell and the crew were a pleasure to work with, and I wish them all the best in seeing the project through to completion.

THE SHORT STORY: My friend Russell Sharman is a very talented writer and director.  He’s an anthropology professor at Brooklyn College and a Hollywood screenwriter who is working on projects that you may have heard of or will see very soon.  He just launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund the post production of the film. Watch this video.

THE LONG STORY: Due to the long pains Hollywood system and Hollywood’s penchant for making the same old movies about pretty ladies and bone headed dudes falling in love, Russell decided to take matters into his own hands and make his first feature film, written and directed by him (which was originally a play he’d written years earlier).

I was able to work on this film, Small Of Her Back, as a consultant helping in a bunch of different ways.  Shooting has wrapped and Russell recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to get the film through post production.  I really believe in how great this film is and in Russell’s talent as a filmmaker, writer, and director.  He’s also one of the nicest and smartest guys you’ll ever meet.  The film was also shot by the very talented Noah Yuan-Vogel who some of you might know through LandlineTV fame and it looks great.  For even small pledges you can get some cool stuff.  Watch this video and if you want to, I encourage you to support.
